Zero waste lifestyle Journey

Zero waste lifestyle has a society virtually. They are concerned about the devastation of the planet we live on so they are refusing to waste as much as possible and avoiding single-use plastics. We must be vigilant in caring for our planet for we are now in a global warming era and unusual climate change in most countries. Being zero waste is a huge and vital step to mitigate the harmful effects of several types of pollution.

Biking in nearby destinations should be one of the alternatives to lessen deadly carbon from vehicles. Sharing rides with your family, friends, and colleagues to minimize traffic congestion which leads to air pollution as well. Public transport should be systematized further. As the devastating impact of waste on our planet becomes more apparent, more and more people are adopting a zero-waste lifestyle.

We can support zero-waste stores that really do sustainable business such as accepting “bringing your own containers”, Eco bags, and the like. Gubat restaurant in Diliman is zero waste dining for they are using banana leaves. During my visit, I ordered carbonara which was served on a banana leaf using a stainless steel fork. However, for the main course, we were encouraged to use our bare hands to eat, which I personally enjoyed and all of us are eating without utensils except for pastas.

Last time, I did zero waste grocery and I bought coconut milk to be put on my container with ripe coconut juice on my tumblr. I bought Baking soda for multi-purpose acts like cleaning, and baking. I liked baking soda for they used biodegradable carton. We have stocked spices like onions and garlic.

Based on the episode voiceover of this topic, I am still grateful for noche buena giveaway from Christmas party and thanks to Ms. Nenny Pernia for this although it is not a zero waste due to single-use plastic packaging. Nonetheless, this is still a food blessing. On the first part, I told I cannot refuse wastes from freebies on a party like Christmas party.

Hence, This is my zero waste life and this has been Jacob Mendoza here on Hapi Funday trip Docu.
