25th Halamanan Festival is holding this week

Festivals for the month of January are Black Nazarene, Sinulog in Cebu and Halamanan or Garden Festival in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Filipino Festivals are back after the pandemic. We are always celebrating every month of festivities aside from many holidays.

Halaman Festival is a one-week celebration starting from 18 th of January until 23 rd . They are celebrating their 25 years because the town has many plants for selling and decorations. Street Dancing has been the first activity of this festival which started from 8:30 am until two hours of passing the street towards the Municipal Hall from Tabang Bridge. Street dancers have started under the bridge so the road was quite closed and we expected traffic congestion. They have worn National costumes called Filipiniana or Baro at Saya and Barong Tagalog for men. They wore modern national costumes with dazzling and fancy colors.

Many locals have watched the traditional street dance parade along the way. They were standing on pavements to fascinate the parade.

I have photographed the event as my role with Focus Bulacan Team.

On Photography, We have Photomeet, a contest for Photography club members, for this to cover this festival and our theme was Synergy Photos which means working together so it should be group shots that show teamwork.

We are celebrating New Year this month until Chinese New Year. Today is the Year of the water rabbit. Cheers!
