7-November-2019, Parañaque city, PH | In Case You Missed It: Cinema one originals celebrates its annual movie festival held at Ayala malls Manila Bay, Parañaque city on Nov. 7, 2019. The Red Carpet Premiere has started at 7 pm by having cocktail meals and the opening film The Lighthouse by Robert Eggers has been watched at 8 pm until 10 pm together with all Media Practitioners, Directors, the whole production and some guest artists like Regine Velasquez-Alcasid with her husband Ogie Alcasid and Jericho Rosales. Other guests artists were present as well especially those who were in the movie entries for this year’s c1 festivals. They are c1 originals.
The movies who were participated in c1 festivals are “Yours Truly, Shirley”, Metamorphosis, Lucid, Utopia, Tayo muna habang hindi pa tayo, O movie, Sila Sila, and Tia Madre. The festival will run from Nov. 7 until Nov. 17, 2019 at Ayala Malls. Their partners are FDCP or Film Development Council of the Philippines, Star cinema, and ABS-CBN films. Ayala Malls is their venue partner. You can use the hashtags #c1originals and #Iamoriginal. On the opening night, the host has introduced each movie entries and he called the participants to have group shots each.
Let’s go with the movie review of the Lighthouse: It is rated as R-13 or restricted for below 13 years old. It is indeed! This is not for kids. It shows violence and sex. It is said on popular review that it is dark comedy so it was. there is quite comedy at first then violence afterwards. the movie is simple but watch it between the lines. there is deeper meaning behind the actual scenes. I liked the cinematography and its less dialogue but you can feel the actors just like the old filipino movies like Nora Aunor. Robert Eggers is the best when it comes to this kind of movie genre. Before the Opening film has been started, We have watched all the trailers of the movie entries that will show for one week.
