World: US Electoral votes unofficial results for Presidency; Trump vs. Biden 2020

 5-Nov-2020 | The US Electoral College refers to the group of presidential electors required by the Constitution to form every four years for the sole purpose of electing the president and vice president. Furthermore, they are group of electors that shall represent the 50 states and vote for President. All states will assign group of people based on their population composed of representatives and senators of each states.

At 8 pm Eastern time on Nov. 4, Joseph R. Biden Jr. had 253 confirmed electoral votes and needed 17 more to win. President Trump had 214 confirmed electoral votes and needed 56 more to win. Mr. Biden was leading in the popular vote, with about 71.5 million votes. Nearly 68 million votes had been counted for Mr. Trump. The Electoral College will determine who wins for presidency not by popular vote. Popular votes means vote of every US citizen.
