20-Sept.-2020 | The portion of Manila bay dolomite white sand has been reopened temporarily this weekend for public viewing only as it is newly rehabilitated. Swimming is still not allowed for coliforms level are at risk although it is lower compare last year. The rehabilitation of Manila bay is still on going. Meanwhile, it has been opened from 5am until 6pm.
Dolomite rocks has been crushed into white fine sand and according to environment agencies, it is safe for it won't splash into the air.
On the other hand, #Manilabaychallenge is trending on twitter and it is circulated on social media. Netizens posted a photo from media which contents are taking shots of the white sand together with their funny memes of their old beach photo and edited pictures.
