The Department of Health reported 294 additional cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, July 2, 2020, bringing the total number of cases in the Philippines to 38,805.
In the 294 additional cases, 242 were from late confirmed cases or the backlog which is part of previous validation while 52 were from “fresh cases” that were released within the last three days. 4 death and 235 are recovered.
Today, there is a total of 1,274 deaths while recoveries are much higher with a total of 10,673.
DOH said the decrease in additional cases reported may be due to the temporary change in data extraction time, which now only covers 19 hours worth of data.
